Philly Cheese Steak with Samuel Adams

At last there is somewhere worth going to south of Elizabeth Street. I had never pictured eating a Philly Cheese Steak with cutlery, let alone sitting in a Melbourne pub! What I had pictured (I really did) was a juicy, thin tender steak, covered with warm “cheese” sauce folded in a soft white roll… Although there’s still room to improve The Bottom End‘s Philly, it is the closest I’ve got from sitting in one of Philadelphia’s reknowned steak shops at the end of the Italian Market. Best of all, you can -and should- order a cold Sam Adams to help you gobble down the kebab-size sandwich. Few things are better than this, only if there were more…
