More than one Rekorderlig cider used to equal a sugar overdose, I used to think. That was until the perfect match was discovered, and no, it’s not a sunny afternoon at the beach. Jungle curry or snapper, basil & red curry custard anyone? The red curry custard on the snapper is creamy and tangy, served with crisp butter lettuce that soothes the spice from the fresh chilli. The jungle curry comes in a little bowl adorned with green pepper corns and fresh chilli with firm, moist spinach and mushroom dumplings. You might also find lemongrass and some lost mushrooms in the broth too. Once you’re finished, so will your cider. Another round? The staff may warn about the spiciness of these dishes before you order, but as I discovered, cider and chilli are the new best friends.
